Custom Website / Specialized requirements

When your website
needs something specific.

Some projects need more than a straightforward business website. Custom Website gives WordPress requests, unusual workflows and bespoke functionality the planning and development scope they need.

Work directly with Tyler to define the problem, choose an appropriate approach and understand the costs. For businesses in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and surrounding Southwest Florida communities.

Choose it for a reason

Start with the need.
Then choose the build.

Custom development is useful when a specific business requirement changes how the website must work.

Perhaps an inquiry needs to follow an unusual approval process, an existing system has complex integration requirements or your team explicitly wants WordPress. Those decisions affect the design, development, testing and ongoing care of the site.

If your main need is to explain your services and receive inquiries, Website Only may be enough. If you want ongoing website management, explore Smart Website. We choose the relationship around your needs.

When a custom scope makes sense

A closer look
at how it works.

These are reasons to explore a custom project, not a promise that every feature or connection is possible. Feasibility and deliverables are confirmed in the proposal.

A requested WordPress site

When WordPress is an explicit requirement, we scope its editing approach, theme or custom design, necessary plugins and ongoing maintenance responsibilities.

An unusual workflow

A specialized application process, conditional inquiry path or approval sequence may need development beyond a standard contact form. We map the steps before proposing the work.

Complex integrations

Connecting a website to existing business systems can depend on access, provider support and data requirements. We assess those dependencies and separate website development from external service costs.

Specialized requirements

A particular content structure, interaction or business rule may require a bespoke approach. The scope identifies the expected behavior and how the finished work will be reviewed.

From requirements to a proposal

Define the details.
Build with a plan.

01

Explain the requirement

Bring examples of what should happen, what your current site cannot do and which systems or people are involved. Explain the business purpose behind the feature.

02

Confirm the scope

Review the proposed approach, deliverables, revisions, content responsibilities and dependencies. The quote separates the build from ongoing and third-party costs.

03

Design, test and hand over

Review the design and functionality against the agreed requirements. Confirm launch, ownership, access and maintenance arrangements before the project is handed over.

Budget and ongoing care

A starting price.
A specific proposal.

Custom Website projects start at $4,500. The final price reflects the agreed design and development work.

Hosting, domains, licensing, maintenance, external integrations and other recurring services may be quoted separately. Provider subscriptions and usage fees are identified when the requirements are assessed; they are not automatically included in the starting price.

WordPress needs ongoing attention to its software and plugins. We agree on who handles that work and whether WCA maintenance is separately commissioned. A custom build does not automatically include Smart Website management.

Branding, standalone graphic design, social media, advertising and video production also need their own scopes. A Fractional Marketing engagement can address broader ongoing marketing needs.

Custom Website questions

Make the scope
clear from the start.

Is every custom project $4,500?

No. $4,500 is the starting price. The proposal prices your agreed requirements, complexity and deliverables. Hosting, licensing, maintenance and third-party services are separately scoped.

Does Custom Website always mean WordPress?

No. WordPress requests belong here, but a bespoke website can use another appropriate approach, including static development. We choose the technology after understanding the requirements and who will maintain it.

Can you connect to our existing software?

We first check the provider's supported options, access requirements and the information that needs to move between systems. Compatibility, development work and any external fees must be confirmed before a connection is promised.

Can our team update the content?

If team editing is a requirement, we define which content should be editable and the appropriate access and handoff. The proposal confirms that editing scope rather than assuming every part of the site can be changed through an editor.

Who owns the website and domain?

You own your website and domain. The agreement identifies account access, handoff deliverables and any third-party licensing conditions. Licensed tools and provider subscriptions have their own terms.

What happens if the requirements change?

We review the impact on scope, cost and scheduling before doing additional work. Substantial changes to an approved design or new functionality need a revised quote; the agreed revision process covers feedback within the original scope.

Are maintenance or Website Workers included?

Ongoing maintenance and support require a separate agreement. Smart Website Workers are in development and are not promised as operational features or automatically included in a custom project.
